On infants and children, are rescuers administering CPR by compressing to 1/3 the depth of the chest, or *at least* 1/3 depth of chest?

The Guidelines detailed within the RCUK 2025 Paediatric Life Support (basic and advanced) are as follows:

  • Depress the chest by at least one-third of the anteroposterior dimension. Use the adult depth recommendation of 5-6 cm in adolescents, and do not exceed a depth of 6 cm at any age.
