Lifeguards would follow the operator’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP), which would include how to raise an alarm in an emergency and how to contact the emergency services. As Lifeguards are trained in Basic Life Support, they would follow their training and assess each step of the Structured Assessment and start CPR immediately if the casualty is unresponsive and not breathing normally - Do not delay CPR.
