The system uses overhead cameras mounted above water to enable live pool monitoring from different angles. Video imagery is transferred to a local server and is processed in real-time. The system uses advanced deep learning algorithms to interpret the data, detect incidents and generate a variety of pool metrics. System alerts are triggered when specific pool user behaviour is detected based on severity and priority levels. Alerts are displayed to lifeguards through a dedicated smartwatch and a Wi-Fi network. Alert information is given, guiding the lifeguard to the correct location, what to look for, and deciding if further actions are needed.
