Does the Lynxight system have any limitations?

It is essential to understand the limitations of Lynxight. Some pools might not meet the criteria to enable detection:

  • Detection is only available in areas where water is deeper than 65 cm.
  • Detection will not be available in pools with turbulent water, bubbles, or ‘'white water’' creating excessive ripples, such as wave pools, water cannons, Jacuzzis, spas, and areas of dark-coloured floor/walls with low contrast.
  • The system requires sufficient lighting and visibility conditions.
  • The system does not track pool users or lifeguards outside the coverage area.
  • Cameras must have a clear line of sight with the whole body of water to ensure complete coverage.
