To renew a lifeguard certification, candidates must complete a renewal assessment and have completed 20 hours of Continual Professional Development (CPD) from the previous assessment date. The assessment will cover the lifeguarding knowledge and skills covered in the NPLQ syllabus and will be carried out by an independent assessor.
