How do NRASTC and NRASTC LIGHT differ?

A NRASTC course is designed as a rescue and supervision award for swimming teachers and swim coaches, where there is no lifeguard or first aid provision at the venue. The NRASTC LIGHT course covers less detail than the NRASTC course and is appropriate for swimming teachers and swim coaches where there is a lifeguard or first aid provision at the venue.

NRASTC LIGHT is a supervision and rescue award for swimming teachers, coaches and/or instructors working during programmed activities, such as swimming lessons where a lifeguard or first aid backup can respond quickly in an emergency.
