For an RLSS UK Trainer Assessor to deliver the National Water Safety Management Programme (NWSMP) Inland module to your candidates, they will need access to an appropriate waterway which includes moving water (e.g. a river or estuary), and flat water (e.g. a dam, canal, lock, quarry, or floating harbour).
Suitable and sufficient PPE must also be accessible and available for each candidate taking the course. The PPE should be suitable for use and fit each candidate correctly.
Each candidate must have the following minimum PPE requirements for an NWSMP course to be delivered:
- Wetsuit
- Drysuit (optional – if drysuits are used rather than wetsuits, then thermal clothing must be worn underneath, and a buoyancy aid must always be worn)
- Buoyancy aid
- Suitable footwear (trainers or aqua shoes)
- Neoprene gloves (optional)
- Helmet (optional - depending upon terrain/waterways/hazards)
To request a training course, please complete this enquiry form or contact the RLSS UK training team at training@rlss.org.uk or 0300 323 0096 for more information.
